Slovenian Stocks Down as US Congress Rejects Bailout Plan

Ljubljana, 30 September - Main indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange tumbled on Tuesday in the wake of the US Congress's rejection of the US$ 700bn rescue plan on Monday. About an hour before the market closure, the main market SBI 20 index lost 4.18% in the first hour of trading, while the SBI TOP index of the ten biggest names dipped 4.44%.
