Estimate Puts General Govt Surplus at EUR 177M in 2007

Ljubljana, 30 September - Slovenia posted a general government surplus for the first time in 2007, in the amount of EUR 177m or 0.5% of GDP, according to a revised estimate from the national Statistics Office. The Finance Ministry meanwhile forecasts a deficit again for 2008, at EUR 13m or 0.04% of GDP.
