Sale Announcement Sparks Fear about Retailer's Future

Ljubljana, 5 November - The announced sale of nearly half of Slovenia's biggest retailer by its major owner has sparked fears about the company's future among its workers and management. The management warned Wednesday of a "considerable impact" that Mercator being acquired by another retailer would have for the company, while one of the unions warned of job cuts.
