Italian MPs Drastically Cut Funding for Slovenian Minority

Trieste, 13 November - The Italian Chamber of Deputies backed on Wednesday a government state budget proposal, which envisages a gradual cutting of funds for the Slovenian minority from the current EUR 5.25m to EUR 3.12m by 2011, the Tieste-based Primorski dnevnik reported on Thursday. The Slovenian Foreign Ministry has expressed regret about the decision.
