Govt Names Matjaz Sinkovec Acting Police Commissioner

Ljubljana, 8 January - The government on Thursday named Matjaz Sinkovec acting police commissioner. The Government Communication Office said Sinkovec, who so far served as deputy commissioner, would take over on Friday, as the resignation of the current police chief Joze Romsek, confirmed by the previous government, becomes effective.
