Number of Registered Crime Drops by 7% in 2008

Ljubljana, 5 March - The Slovenian police successfully investigated 45.1% of crimes registered in 2008, a 1.8% percentage point rise over 2006. The total number of crimes decreased by 7%, acting Police Commissioner Janko Gorsek told the press on Thursday. Road saftey improved, while organised crime and cybercrime were on the rise.
