Govt Earmarks EUR 3M for Fee, EUR 15.54M For Entire Universiade

Ljubljana, 19 March - The government earmarked on Thursday EUR 3m for the organisation of the 2013 Winter Universiade in Maribor. Although the funds were planned to come from the 2009 supplementary budget, the government speeded up the decision so that Maribor could pay the EUR 3m concession fee by the end of the month.
