Archbishop Šuštar: Uncomprehendingly Little Will for Reconciliation in Certain Circles in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 14 May - SLOVENIA/VE-DAY/CHURCH
"All Europe celebrated these last days, and all gatherings, both religious and military, were in the sign of reconciliation. Europe is aware of the fact that there is no future without reconciliation, therefore we cannot understand why there is so little will for it in certain circles in Slovenia. Not only old hatred is being revived, but hostilities are deepened and new ones arise, and it is repeated loud and clear that reconciliation is not possible in this country," said Archbishop of Ljubljana and Slovene Metropolitan Alojzij Šuštar during the solemn mass for the homeland in the Ljubljana Cathedral on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II.
