Pathologist Acquitted of Negligence Charges

Ljubljana, 31 March - The Ljubljana District Court on Tuesday acquitted pathologist Boris Kavcic, who was charged in 2004 with negligent medical treatment, due to a lack of evidence. He was accused over a substantial backlog of tissues awaiting histological examination at the Celje hospital that, according to the prosecution, resulted in the death of a patient.
