Ex-Minister Says He is Opposed to Public Sector Lay-Offs

Ljubljana, 8 April - Former Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant said on Wednesday that lay-offs in the Slovenian public administration would not be the best solution to cut costs and pointed out that the number of people employed could still be reduced by 5% to 7% using "soft methods".
