Bank of Slovenia Rejects Criticism For Exchange Rate Policy

The Bank of Slovenia (BS) estimates that there exists no reason to change the central bank's monetary policy. The goal of the Bank of Slovenia being as firm Slovene currency as possible, the central bank has no intentions to give up the policy of gradual steps leading to stable economic situation, France Arhar, the BS Governor, said at a press conference Wednesday, answering numerous criticisms, mainly by the exporters who demand a higher exchange rate.
