Official Says Right to Asylum Basic Human Right

Ljubljana, 18 June - Refugees should not be punished upon crossing the border, but offered assistance, Kristina Plavsak Krajnc of the Council of Europe Information Office in Ljubljana said on Thursday at a round table debate ahead of World Refugee Day. The right to asylum is a key principle of human rights, she added.
