Replanting of Storm-Hit Forests from 2008 Underway

Gornji Grad, 8 July - Nearly a year after a severe storm hit Slovenia last summer, tearing down hectares of forests, the worst hit area of Crnivec hills, some 20 kilometres NW of Celje, sees trees slowly being planted back. This year, 56,000 new trees were planted and EUR 55,000 were spent for reforestation, according to the Slovenian Forest Service.
