Lawmakers Pass Changes to Education Act

Ljubljana, 15 July - The National Assembly passed on Wednesday the government-sponsored amendments to the act on organisation and financing of education in a 47 to 31 vote. The changed act among other things aims to give priority to public over private education and expands school councils in favour of teachers and students.
