Lawmakers Pass Second Supplementary Budget

Ljubljana, 16 July - MPs passed on Thursday in a 53:22 vote the second supplementary budget for 2009, which among other things raises the budget deficit to 5% of GDP. The coalition insisted that the redistribution of expenditure was optimal, given the circumstances, while the opposition criticised it for failing to give enough incentive to the troubled economy.
