Wheat Farmers to Call on Govt to Declare Natural Disaster

Ljubljana, 20 July - Representatives of Slovenian wheat farmers decided on Monday to call on the Agriculture Ministry to declare the three weeks of rainy weather, which has considerably decreased the quality of wheat, a natural disaster. The rain in Pomurje region alone is thought to have caused a damage of over EUR 5m on wheat fields.
