Objects on Slovene Motorways Need Major Repairs

Ljubljana, 7 June - DARS/MOTORWAYS/MAINTENANCE
There are about 80 bridges, overpasses and other objects on the Slovene motorways and additional 200 on other roads in Slovenia. Currently inspecting these objects, the Company for the Motorways in the Republic of Slovenia (DARS) in cooperation with the Ljubljana Office for research of material and constructions has established that nearly two thirds of these objects need major repairs, the cost of which is estimated to amount to SIT 2.5 billion. Road traffic safety on these objects is not endangered, except for the Ravbarkomanda overpass on the Vrhnika-Postojna motorway, said representatives of DARS to a press conference Wednesday.
