Slovene Press on EU Decision on Slovenia's Agreement

Ljubljana, 13 June - According to daily Večer, the Luxembourg assent to initial a Slovene-European agreement is a good achievement since Slovenia's participation in Cannes would without any doubt endanger the position of Italian Foreign Minister Susanna Agnelli in Italy. The commentator cautions to be careful with Van den Broek's finds in connection with a Slovene proposition for a bill on property. Namely, he gave a negative assessment to the proposed measure that permits a nationalization of property owned by a foreigner two years after the expiring of his permanent residence. That was a bone of contention in Luxembourg, and European Commission expects Slovenia to abolish this contradiction in parliamentary procedure, writes Večer's commentator.
