New Family Law Allowing Gay Marriage Stirs Controversy

Ljubljana, 21 September - Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Ivan Svetlik presented a family law bill to the public on Monday, saying it was aimed at equalising same-sex unions with other family unions in Slovenia. The draft allows gay couples to adopt children, which has already caused a stir in the opposition.
