Gorenje Workers Want EUR 600 Salary, Union Threatens to Strike

Ljubljana/Velenje, 23 September - As workers of household appliance maker Gorenje started talks with the management on a salary rise on Wednesday, the sector's trade union SKEI threatened with a general solidarity strike of the entire industry unless an agreement is reached. The negotiating parties failed to reach an agreement today and the talks are to resume on Friday.
