Gjerkes Elected New Local Govt Minister

Ljubljana, 22 October - Parliament endorsed late on Thursday Henrik Gjerkes as the new local government and regional development minister in a 48:30 vote. The 44-year-old engineer was already sworn in. He will replace Zlata Plostajner, who resigned on 9 October.
