MPs Up State Guarantees for Bank Deposits

Ljubljana, 20 November - Parliament passed on Friday changes to the banking act, which increase in line with EU law state guarantees for bank deposits from EUR 22,000 to EUR 50,000. Despite the change, unlimited guarantees, introduced in November in response to the financial crisis, remain in place in Slovenia until the end of 2010.
