Prime Minister Drnovšek: Europe Not Ideal - Egoistic Interests of Individual Countries

Ljubljana, 26 June - Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Drnovšek and President of the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS) addressed the LDS meeting, dedicated to the Day of Slovene Statehood, Sunday, stating that "Europe is not ideal as we imagined". "Egoistic interests of individual countries rule in Europe. Only by holding firm position and using diplomatic skillfulness Slovenia can overcome situations when its national interests are endangered," Prime Minister said.
