Little Progress for Slovenians in Italy, Austria

Ljubljana, 27 December - Slovenian minorities living in neighbouring Italy and Austria continued to battle for greater rights, with little success, in the past year. Indeed, Slovenians in Italy may face one of their toughest years in 2010, as Italy cut their funding significantly. There is also no sign that Austria will soon erect new bilingual city limit signs.
