Eight Bidders Interested in 36% of Mercator

Ljubljana, 9 February - A group of banks which own a combined 36.4% stake in retailer Mercator received eight non-binding bids by the Monday deadline. The bidders will now be shortlisted, whereupon they will be allowed to carry out due diligence of Slovenia's largest retail chain, Arkas, the company representing the banks, said Tuesday.
