Football Official Tenders Resignation over Feud with Players

Ljubljana, 5 March - Head of the Slovenian Football Association Ivan Simic tendered his resignation on Thursday in face of an escalating dispute with the national team over the premiums for the 2010 World Cup. The players are trying to increase their fees for playing in South Africa. While the budget had already been increased by EUR 1m, the players want more.
