Number of Prisoners Still Increasing

Ljubljana, 14 April - The number of Slovenian prisoners almost reached 5,000 in 2009, which is an 8% increase over 2008. Overcrowded cells and lack of staff remain the biggest problems, Dusan Valentincic of the Prison Administration told the press on Wednesday.
