MPs Reject Switch to Opt-Out System of Organ Transplants

Ljubljana, 23 April - The lower chamber of parliament rejected the upper chamber-sponsored introduction of an opt-out system in organ transplantation, preserving in a 48:11 vote on Friday the opt-in registration of potential donors. Nevertheless, both the government and most MPs pointed to the need to modernise the existing legislation.
