Dnevnik Looks at Low Turnout in Austrian Presidential Election

Ljubljana, 26 April - Daily Dnevnik says on Monday that the decision of the Austrian People's Party (OVP) not to put forward a challenger to the reelected Austrian President Heinz Fischer contributed substantially to Sunday's election having the lowest turnout to date. This has hurt the party as well wrongly put under question the institution of the president.
