Govt Seeking Higher Excise on Electricity, Tobacco and Gas

Ljubljana, 5 June - The government has promised not to raise taxes as is grapples with a looming budget deficit. However, it has said excise would rise and the Finance Ministry has now put forward amendments to the excise duties act that envisage much higher duties on electricity, tobacco and gas.
