Govt Slashes Budget Expenditure by Almost 6%

Ljubljana, 10 June - The government adopted a supplementary budget for 2010 on Thursday, reacting to lower-than-expected tax receipts with cuts of almost EUR 600m. "Like most European countries we are adopting radical saving measures aimed to contain the public finance deficit," Finance Minister Franc Krizanic commented on the almost 6% cut in expenditure.
