Resia Rejects Minority Protection Act

Udine, 17 August - The Italian municipality of Resia has requested to be excluded from the 2001 list of municipalities where the minority protection act must be observed. The decision comes two weeks after the first bilingual ID was issued there in a move that was hailed by the Slovenians living in Resia but challenged by the mayor.
