Govt and Public Sector Unions Fail to Reach Agreement

Ljubljana, 30 August - The government and majority of public sector trade unions failed to break the deadlock in talks on a planned pay freeze in the sector in what was seen as a last attempt on Monday. This means that the government will bypass the unions and introduce the freeze with a new law, but also that the strike announced for 27 September remains on.
