Soldiers' Union Says Afghan Deployment Illegal

Ljubljana, 20 September - The deployment of Slovenian troops who will be tasked with setting up an Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (OMLT) in Afghanistan is illegal because the mission includes combat tasks, the Trade Union of Soldiers said in a letter addressed to President Danilo Tuerk on Monday.
