Koper Mayor Found Guilty of Embezzlement

Koper, 23 September - The Koper District Court has found Koper Mayor Boris Popovic guilty of abuse of office, tax evasion and counterfeiting of business documents from the days when he was still a businessman. The court sentenced Popovic on Thursday to a suspended prison term of one year and ten months with probation of two years.
