European Capital of Culture Project to Revive Maribor

Maribor, 15 October - Maribor, Slovenia's second largest city and one hit particularly hard by loss of blue collar jobs, is gearing up to take the title of European Capital of Culture in 2012. The project's programme director, writer and editor Mitja Cander, deems it an opportunity to bring together ideas on how to revive the city through culture.
