Pahor Opposes Proposed EU Budget Increase

Brussels, 29 October - Prime Minister Borut Pahor rejected on Thursday a proposal by the European Parliament for a 6% budget increase for next year. He believes the maximum acceptable increase would be 2.9% and that the bloc should fill its budget by downsising its bureaucratic apparatus.
