First Patria Trial Starts Behind Closed Doors

Ljubljana, 22 November - The trial against the former defence minister and chief-of-staff, Karl Erjavec and Albin Gutman, over malfeasance in office related to the 2006 purchase or armoured personnel carriers (APCs) from Patria began in Ljubljana on Monday with a decision to close the trial to the public. The defence begged to differ.
