Upper Chamber Upholds Two Controversial Laws

Ljubljana, 22 November - The National Council, the upper chamber of parliament, failed on Monday to back a proposal to call a referendum on the controversial mini jobs law, which deals with temporary work. The councillors also did not muster sufficient support for a motion to veto a bill on emergency crisis measures.
