Slovenia Urges EU to Act on Pig Breeding Crisis

Brussels, 24 January - Slovenian Agriculture, Forestry and Food Minister Dejan Zidan urged his colleagues in Brussels on Monday to establish a special group with the power to propose legislation to address the increasing crisis in pig breeding in the bloc. A compromise proposal was passed forming an expert group with less powers than proposed by Slovenia.
