Tennis Fed Cup: Slovenia and Germany Tied after Day 1
Maribor, 5 February - Slovenia and Germany tied 1:1 in day one of the first round of the World Group II Fed Cup play in Maribor on Saturday. Slovenia's best female tennis player Polona Hercog defeated Julia Goerges 7:5 and 6:4 after Masa Zec Peskiric was beaten 3:6 and 4:6 by Andrea Petkovic in the opening match.
