Opposition Motion For Referendum Day Rejected

Ljubljana, 4 March - The National Assembly rejected 29 votes to 41 on Friday an opposition-sponsored motion to introduce a referendum day on which all referendums would be held once a year. While opposition parties maintained this would reduce the costs, the coalition pointed to possible abuse.
