Fmr. Croatian President Ordered to Pay for Insulting Joras

Ljubljana, 8 March - The Koper District Court has ruled that former Croatian President Stipe Mesic has to pay a EUR 2,000 in damages to Josko Joras, a Slovenian living on a disputed stretch of land on the Slovenian-Croatian border, for calling Joras a "jester". Mesic's lawyers said on Tuesday they would appeal to the ruling.
