Ceremony to Mark 20 Years of First Military Clash
Pekre, 21 May - A ceremony will take place at the town of Pekre near Maribor on Saturday to mark 20 years since the first military clash in Slovenia's independence efforts in 1991, when the Territorial Defence Forces, the emerging precursor of today's Slovenian army, stood up against the Yugoslav People's Army (JLA).
