SDS Files Snap Poll Amendment, Other Parties Reserved

Ljubljana, 13 June - The main opposition party, the Democrats (SDS), filed a motion to amend the Constitution on Monday which would allow parliament to dissolve itself and thereby open the door to early elections. The proposal has not convinced the other parties, which warn against stop-gap changes to the Constitution.
