Sources: Slovenia to Lose One of Its Highest-Ranking EU Posts

Brussels, 5 July - Slovenia is to lose its second-highest-ranking official in the EU administration, as Ivan Bizjak, the director general for justice and home affairs of the EU Council, faces early retirement, diplomatic sources in Brussels have told the STA. Ranking higher than Bizjak, appointed in 2004, is only European Commissioner Janez Potocnik.
