Koper, 24 August - The Koper District Court sentenced a man to prison over animal cruelty in an unprecedented move on Wednesday. The man, who starved his parasite infested dog to death in June, faces a month in prison. Vera Tonel of a regional association fighting animal cruelty called the ruling a great victory.
