Slovenia and Italy Should Dedicate Themselves to More Important Issues

Ljubljana, 20 October - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia has not yet received an official point of view or a response to the so-called "non-paper". However, there are more and more indications that Rome has problems with the acquisition of agreement to a minimalist compromise variety of the solution of the issue of implementation of the Rome Agreement, namely of the issue of property of ethnic Italians who left Slovenia after World War II. Slovene Press Agency learned that the Slovene Foreign Ministry receives such signals with regret, and expresses fear that in relation to this issue Italian foreign policy remains hostage to demands of extremist right circles, especially in Trieste.
