Slovene Press on Cliton-Drnovšek Meeting

        The daily Večer points out that Drnovšek's visit is of vital importance in that the United States can help easing Slovenia's accession to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty by exerting slight pressure on Italy. If the White House stated clearly Slovenia had nothing to do with the Washington negotiations between the waring parties from the former Yugoslavia, the latter could be quite satisfied. So much so, if President Milan Kučan, who is to hold several meetings in New York, accomplishes his part in the field of economy.
