Parliament Expands Guarantees for EFSF to EUR 3.66BN

Ljubljana, 27 September - The National Assembly passed Tuesday in a 49:4 vote changes to the act on state guarantees to secure financial stability in the eurozone, expanding guarantees for the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) from EUR 2.07bn to EUR 3.66bn. Slovenia has become the ninth eurozone country to help expand the financial mechanism.
